When I got my #Hajichi , a #Ryukyuan practice that faced Japanese assimilation, I took some pictures of my Hajichiaa on #35mm film.

Apart from a practicing artists who are Shimanchu in the Ryukyus, there is a growing number of Hajichiaa in the diaspora. It's so great to see our community reclaim our practices that were forcibly lost.
