My 11 year old showed me this video, and I watched it with him. It's helped me realize just how much #anticommunist propaganda I've been exposed to.

But I think this video also exemplifies what's wrong with #Marxism. #Hakim tries to debunk the argument that "communism always leads to #dictatorship" by pointing out that every #communist country has been under constant attack from the west, which is obviously true. But Hakim calls himself a #Marxist, #Marx called for a "dictatorship of the #proletariat", and he himself seems pretty neutral or even positive on the idea of dictatorship.

I don't remember if it was in this video or another one, but at one point Hakim says that one of the premises of communism is that power corrupts. If power corrupts, then it makes no sense to give anyone absolute power, no matter how good you think they are. So even if he himself is a Marxist, what Hakim is actually arguing for without realizing it is #AnarchoCommunism.
