Ten years ago tonight, in the glorious art deco splendor of #Hammersmith Apollo, I stood in awe as famously loud shoegaze-types #MyBloodyValentine brought forth their gorgeous noise.

A set of old & new(ish) tunes, repetitive rhythms & #bass that shook through the internal organs of all assembled.

Yet, despite all the bars stocking free ear plugs (and the Merch desk, the box office & the toilets), not quite the auditory #MBV onslaught I'd feared. Loud, but not up to eleven.

So, on a more whimsical note, if you've ever considered going #AxeThrowing, I would definitely recommend it - I didn't think I'd enjoy it that much, but it was SO MUCH FUN (yes, I shouted). I would happily go again - we went to Game of Throwing in #Hammersmith and had a thoroughly good time!
