45 minutes of mending, and these socks are functional again! I'm pretty proud of how closely I matched my original knitting. :D Not perfect, but pretty good.

I told a friend I would take a picture of these socks to post on here. I made the pattern myself! It took a few tries to get the cables right, when I knitted them years ago. I think they're probably my favorite pair of socks.

I have something special to share for #Fiberuary that's perfect for #texture week... a set of sock patterns that I've been thinking of as the Twisted Trilogy. The pattern names are inspired by the colours of each yarn: Boulevardier, Aviation, and Sapphire Martini.

All socks have now been received by their new owners and gratefully too! The purple socks were for my mother-in-law, the plain grey for my father-in-law and the dk-weight grey with green heels toes and cuffs for my step-daughter's boyfriend. The purple socks were knit in #WestYorkshireSpinnersSignature4ply on Hidden Gem, the plain grey in #CascadeHeritageSock and the grey and green in #CoopKnitsSocksYeahDK

Hubby asked me to knit him some more socks. He prefers handknit socks to commercial socks because not only are they warmer, they actually fit his feet. I'm using #WestYorkshireSpinnersSignature4ply in Gingerbread and enjoying the progress. They're not a Christmas gift and he doesn't want to wait for me to block them when they're finished

These socks were pretty challenging for me to knit 15 years ago, I recall struggling with them back then, but they came out well in the end. Lithuanian 'Amber' socks pattern from Nancy Bush's "Folk Socks" book. Simple worsted 100% wool. Over the yrs they have slightly felted and are very thick, cushiony, and warm. No holes yet!

Nicest socks i ever knit. Think I'll make a new pair this winter in new colors.

A few years ago, I was given a double-knit sock blank. This means that I have to embrace knitting both socks at the same time, despite the yarn's tangling. On the other hand, the socks are a gorgeous, variegated green. #knitting @knitting #HandKnitSocks

Yesterday it was in the high 70s (25°C, ish) outside; today it's barely going to reach 60°F (15°C). I have a new pair of handknit socks to keep my toes unfroze :)
