When your cousin asks for a couple pens with her and her husband's company logos on them, you get busy. These pics don't do the curly maple justice. I love how dark the red Gum gets but man does it stink when the laser burns it.

The tiny house and its lights are coming along! The glue I used for the window plastic caused an odd opaque film to form on it (fumes?). When I put the crosspieces on I was able to rub it mostly off but the second lot was hard to budge. But in the end it looks just like frosted panes and dulls the bright lights so it’s actually perfect!

Wiring in the little felt house lights. I tried to put them on the tree but they’re too bright so I’m trying on the walls. It’s a bit tricky because the pattern isn’t designed for this but I’m determined! Might be the crooked little house by the time I’m finished. Next step is getting the light at the top of the tree in and the windows put in and then I can glue on the exterior piece and cover up the wiring!

Downside of gifts is that, whilst I have finally finished a make that has been driving me crazy ( I have ended up rewriting the pattern completely), I can't share it. Not being able to share what I am making might be one of the most annoying part of . So here is a cardigan that I made a couple years ago (and still live in) instead just because I am in a crochet mood and being on a new platform it feels like a good excuse to revisit a few of my favourites.

The two houses and the boxes I made for them which are sturdy enough to protect them during shipping and nice enough to put straight under the tree. I say that to seem less insane for spending all that time making them 😁

Gingerbread House ornament done! Growing up my family used to make lots of gingerbread houses of the edible kind. They don’t work very well in the heat and humidity of an NZ Xmas so I’m keen to get one of these made for me but I’m going to have a wee break first 😅. I can’t decide which version of the icicles I like best though 🤔
