@rogersherman The #keyboard I was on when I wrote that was a #HappyHacker, but I don't think that's the issue.
I wrote that when it was still pretty dark out and I generally don't turn the lights on if I'm by myself. So I have to feel for the keyboard a little more than normal. Especially on that particular one, because I thought I was being cool by getting black letters on black keys...
my E key has been behaving erratically, so I cleaned the whooooollle #keyboard (#happyhacker clone)
Turned out real nice.
the E key still doesn't work right
@al3x I'm not sure what he got except he was confirming that the ctrl should be where the capslock is on a 105 #keyboard
I have a couple #HappyHacker and also a couple clones. (I love them all except for the one I got with dark printing to be cool. It's impossible to read.)
For years I have been (happily) using a happy hacker 2 keyboard. Lately though I've been thinking of picking up (or making!) a split ortholinear board. I hear they're better for the wrists or something :-) Does anyone have any advice on finding or assembling a split ortho board? My hardware skills are meagre at best.

Happy to say my #HappyHacker Lite 2 #keyboard successfully recovered from my spontaneous urge to clean it.
For a relatively small and affordable USB keyboard, it has treated me well over the years!
It has the Control key where it belongs, dip switches to put the alt keys in their place, and a couple USB ports.
Cleaning it was mostly harmless, other than dropping a few keys under my desk and putting the space key back in upside down at first.
The detritus of several years is now composting.
