Nanking cherry blossoms!!

Excited for these to fully mature. Supposed to be pretty tasty and nutritious!

Another year or so before the bushes get to where I can let them fully fruit.

Gunna pluck all the blossoms post nectar flow, so if they can maximize overall growth vs fruit production.

Had to break my cardinal rule of beekeeping, yet again.

Saw drones flying last weekend, false spring has begun an early nectar flow..

So I either got into the bee boxes to remove winter meds/hive beetle traps and put on medium supers... while it's totally overcast and gross..

Or I risk having 3 hives splits before the last frost hits us (potentially next week) and lose half my swarms...

Went deep zen mood and braved the event.. only got 1 sting on a glove..

My wife and I started it during covid.

We're now full fledged #HarmonyHomestead...

It's more dangerous than heroin.

The designated neutral zone of #HarmonyHomestead where all bees of all hives gather.

It's also the only place I can get really close and they don't consider me a threat during cloudy weather.

Broke my cardinal rule of beekeeping.

"Leave them the fuck alone when it's cloudy."
