I recently rediscovered all my old Hârn game setting stuff and decided to tweek it to mesh with ICE's Rolemaster Standard System rules.

Just finished adapting the Hârnic Shek-pvar magic system over. It works a little different, but I am happy with the results.

I don’t do many Kickstarters and I was in two minds whether to carry on with the Kingdoms of #Harn hardbacks. The product quality is excellent, but the fulfilment to the UK has been a bit erratic for my personal tastes (even by today’s uncertain standards of shipping logistics).

But I’m obviously some sort of easily mollified magpie because they’re now doing the #HarnWorld master module and the #Harndex in hardback and I’m in.

7. Rpg I’ve spent the most money on but never played.

Tricky question. I spend the most on games that I’m playing.

One game that comes to mind is Amber Diceless, although that only has two books. But if you include Lords of Gossamer and Shadow, which is effectively a second game, that’s more. I would like to try it someday.

I also went all in on Harn recently. I’m not really sure why. The world is interesting, but I’d prefer a different system.

Hârn (Hârnworld in later editions, to distinguish it from a game system made available for those who don't have hundreds just lying around I guess?) is startlingly in its prime, when creator N. Robin Crossby was still its creative force. I think what still stands out is that Crossby, more than any other game writer I know of, could make simple regional poltics feel like they crackled with possibility and passion. Supplements remains excellent until Crossby passed. #TTRPG #Harn #Harnworld #SJR100

I just posted that I'd like to see more people have some diy mentality and hack together their own Frankenstein systems rather than just take what is offered for sale. I will add that when I post about being interested in #osr #ttrpgs I have put together multiple small booklets for my players of extensively hacked osr rule systems.

I had one for #Hârn, one for #Discworld, a Star Wars thingy, and two generic ones (one at the beginning of that line and one at the end).
