You know a terrifying thing I saw at the Duke/UNC game? That right-wing “Christian” organization #HeGetsUs sponsoring the game for #UNC. He Gets Us is the worst right-wing sponsorship thing I’ve seen at UNC since Chic-Fil-A.

These #HeGetsUs ads make no sense. Who is this guy supposed to be stirring up hatred towards? Who is supposed to be turning the other cheek? I suspect Jesus doesn’t get the folks who made this ad.

The “He Gets Us” campaign could’ve dropped that $100 million to feed and house homeless individuals. Or they could’ve created shelter and housing for abused women. Or resources for the influx of immigrants. Instead they bought two Super Bowl ads saying Jesus did, and was, all those things. It doesn’t matter what the message is in the ad, their actions say plenty.
