Wanted to find a source for #Tangerines as supermarkets’ offerings are too small and sour.
Visited #OakchurchFarmShop near #Hereford, England (www.oakchurch.net) and found these.
What are they?
Oranges? No.
Tangerines? No.
Mandarins? No.
Clementines No.
Murcott? No.
Easy Peelers (blame supermarkets for that lunacy)? No.
Satsuma? No.
Turns out they’re #Nadorcott, (or #Afourer) from #Morocco, thought to be the result of a Clementine / Murcott hybrid.
Very tasty and highly recommended.

You've got the deep purples in the shadows, where the setting sun is too low to really reach it.
Above that, the pale yellow of summer as the sun lights up the western stonework one last time that day.

Five minutes earlier, the doorway looked like this.
I'd had several attempts at this shot throughout the day, but they hadn't quite worked.
We were walking back to the cars when the setting sun suddenly turned the whole cathedral an unexpected shade of burnt orange. It inspired me to try again.
I'm glad that I did. You can just see the purple starting to creep in on the far right of this shot. I decided to hang on and see what happened.

If I had a portfolio of shots from this year, I would pick this as the highlighted shot.
For a brief moment, the setting summer sun turned #Hereford Cathedral an absolutely stunning shade of magenta.
The different layers of colour really helped to bring out the detail in the stonework too!
