97% of all English meadows recorded in the 1930s had disappeared by the 1980's. Its taken 40 more years, for English Herritage to recognise that they were one of the guilty parties, and start to make amends.

We should applaud them and use the Coronation of a nature-friendly King, to extend similar schemes with other landowners despite current government pushback in other areas.

Here's another one who I'd like to ask to listen back to themselves about what they have just said.
How is it that #Heritage appeals to making #Violence and #CapitalPunishment entertaining rather than just completely off-putting.
We really need to have a conversation with people why a #HeritageSite that doesn't physically re-enact decapitation is perceived as more problematic than one that does. I feel there are much deeper issues here at stake than just 'heritage is boring'.
