I listened to the latest episode today "How to Make Amends" and... I honestly felt that Donovan's story didn't ring true. I can't believe that it was just a once off, and when he said he believed the bikes had been there for months? And he'd done them up? Within a couple of days? No way. I think he just wanted to look less bad, in hindsight. I think it's likely that the money from a lot of stolen goods went into that house purchase. The bit where he was like "I checked my bank and realised I had enough, I didn't even need these bikes" just rang really hollow to me... like maybe it was technically true but dude, I bet there had been more stolen before this. This was just the time you actually got caught.
