This intriguing plaque can be found on the side of the 1895 former British Linen Bank on High Street in Glasgow. It reads: On this site stood the house in which the poet Campbell lived. An additional plate seems to have been added later with the text: born 1777, died 1844.

The fantastic stepped gable end and curved top floor bay window of William Boston's tenements on High Street in Glasgow. They were built in the Scottish Renaissance style for the City Improvement Trust in 1901. I love the details above the window on the left and on the pillars between the windows on the right

One of the great orphaned gable end murals around High Street painted by Smug. It was originally unnamed, but as with many things in Glasgow, it was soon give one by the city's residents, and it's now known as St Mungo.
