Something very satisfying about the . I boil it down to a bit of elegant simplicity. are beautiful, the figures within each range feel all belong together, but manage to be individual and carry the “right” amount of detail so they are still lovely to explore.

Think I’ll paint these up, look at an opposing 20-ish Dwarf force, and get a wee refresher/intro game in with someone.

The bucks over at have been nattering about - chatting about how it’s a one box and go game. Do wish they’d get a starter set that was 15 of two units and a leaflet of ‘rules lite’. I found the system a really nice rank and flank game, that had some nice mechanics and the official range of miniatures are gorgeous. Would love to see it get more air time from hobbyists.

My entry is finished! Had a blast spending time on this mini and doing a simple custom base. I’ve pushed everything I’d been practicing lately from flesh undertones to highlights. Really had the best fun. A huge thank you @Berit for instigating this.

Finally got the groove. Haven’t been up to it between being in a post-trip heap and my lovely daughter taking my “Gouge the eyes, and the All Ireland will come” chat too serious, meaning a couple of trips to the opticians to find out I’ll have a wee scar to show for my parenting. 😂

entry coming along after tonight’s session. Some NMM, then green cloth, leather, wood, and skin all got highlights.

After a trying couple of weeks, I completed a personal project today. Posting as therapy.

It's an , replacing a crappy folding plastic table I'd been using. Surface is , with for edging and a back lip so I can't push stuff off the back by accident. The shelves/racks for equipment are made of the same plywood and cherry.

Computer on arm for reference materials, and swings out of the way.

Family Wedding that bookends this trip over us. We’ll be heading home to the other island in short order where normal service will resume. Meanwhile, my excitement to get cracking with has me working more on the Halfing Cook.

Currently on the white of the tunic, a highlight or two off finishing that. Concurrently started messing with the flesh. Wee patches of volupus pink hiding under the cheeks and some highlights.

Have a dilemma. Still not back from this daft paternity facilitated break to Ireland. So what to do about . I’m keen for it to be something from my Stirland River Patrol I pop into the mix, but had a mini in mind which is comfortable sat at home-home. Do I lean into my halfing cook/scout? 😂

Finally, who doesn’t love the real stars of the Kommando team - the Grot and bomb Squig. Im really happy with the Grot in particular - a slip of the hand splashed a bit of brown on his zip up suit. Leant into that and got a great camo effect going over it with creed camo. His lenses also really, really pop.
