I've been away from here for a while working flat out on a book design. My wife has visited and recorded all of the 358 holy wells in County Cork and has written a book about them. Holywell is in Flintshire overlooking the Dee estuary with numerous places to find refreshments and accommodation.
Several long distance trails start/end in Holywell and there is easy access to the Welsh Coastal Path.

Saint Nectan's Kieve is a #ClootieWell (#HolyWell), located near #Tintagel in #Cornwall. Clootie wells are places of pilgrimage usually found in Celtic areas where small strips of cloth or ribbons are left as part of a healing ritual. The basin was also surrounded by #CoinTrees where offerings were pushed into the wet logs in the hopes of having a wish granted, or a prayer answered, by a nature spirit, saint or goddess.
