This is a random photo of an old elm towering above some rooftops in my .

Tree doesn't even have spring leaves yet, but there's something about the way the light and shadow are dancing in this photo that makes me like it.

It reminds me of what a friend from Singapore once told me. She liked the skies in rural Canada, she said, because the sky seemed closer than if you look up through skyscrapers.

I can almost reach up and put my hand through the clouds in ....
