This sounds like a problem that can be solved with #HomeAssistant and a power monitoring plug… now to find a Zigbee or #ESPHome plug small enough

Finally got around to flashing my Sonoff NSPanel for use with #HomeAssistant! Still have to find a nice spot for it, but I’m excited to set it up and start using it.

Got my Sonoff NSPanel in yesterday. Was going to flash it for use with #HomeAssistant, however apparently the USB to serial adapter I have is not cooperating.

Maybe I should not have used it to power 12V fans 🤔

So we got solar power activated today… Will be fun to set it up with #HomeAssistant later.

I got asked to figure out why the network connection on the inverter unit wasn't working, only to find that the included dongle was not plugged in and went missing. So we'll have to wait for a new one before completing our energy dashboard.

Built an esphome IR blaster for my Gree AC splitter #homeassistant

Another day of tinkering with #HomeAssistant, updated my network status page by making it mobile friendly & added an online devices counter using templates. Also created an app dashboard with health checks. Absolutely loving how powerful and versatile this platform is!

Wild shower idea for #Homeassistant. A Home Health dashboard, which shows alerts; these alerts can be configured per entity. For instance, temperature is too low, humidity is too high, or the front door was left open for too long. This would then automatically trigger an alert to the channels of your choosing.

Might be easier to export Home Assistant data to something like Grafana for this, or it can be done natively in HA; guess I know what I’m spending my evening on!

#HomeAssistant added Oral-B toothbrushes as an integration. This is awesome from a versatility standpoint as it proves how flexible Home Assistant is, but does make me wonder where we should be drawing lines for making things smart 🤔
