I’d just like to say out loud I absolutely love #HOPE, and for reasons that I cannot fully explain, it completely refuels me and drags me back into a hyper-motivated state of being every 2 years.

In particular, looking forward to #Hope2022 was one of a couple of key fuels in my engine while fighting (and beating!) cancer from late last year into early summer this year, a period where I didn’t have a ton of energy to even engage friends irl, let alone the amazing online communities I’m a part of including here in hackers.town and the broader fedi.

Although (despite sustained practical hermitude) I somehow ended up testing positive for COVID last week, which blew up my ambitions to physically reenter conference scene after years away, I am feeling the energy via the livestreams (including MCH), matrix chat, and friendly messages, and am just super grateful for all of it.

Anyway, thank you. Despite what could be called setbacks, feeling v happy to be anywhere rn, but especially here.
