Hundreds of thousands of homes were built by state-subsidised cooperatives. Members bought shares in the cooperatives that owned estates like the Logis-Floréal in Watermael-Boitsfort, and then paid affordable rents to live in housing that they part-owned. 1/2

Last night I put in an offer on the house next to mine outside Atlanta. A partner is planning to take residence and share common space, and I'm researching legal structures for shared ownership (possibly a #HousingCoop) so the collective can eventually buy out the mortgage from me instead of just renting. If all goes well we hope to rezone to build tiny homes for more people. The property was a surprise, so my research is behind where it needs to be. I welcome experience, links, and boosts.
