@NatureMC yes, i’ve been thibking about this a lot. Quite a few of articles on the #Heatwave in #Phoenix and elsewhere this summer focussed on #Amazon #Deliveroo etc people trying to cope, their strategies foe trying to get through the day. Abd in #Houston a #postman was one of the first reported fatalities. Yet another dimension of injustice. #ClimateJustice #ClimateEmergency

Reading this ⬆️ i was wondering how hot it was in #Mecca just now - I don’t really have a sense of “normal” temperatures during the #Hajj or indeed of what kind of #ClimateAdaption or #HeatActionPlans are in place for this already, but it’s made me think more about wider social, cultural impact of #ClimateChange - might events like Hajj or #Juneteenth in #Houston (where rapper #BigPokey may have died of #Heatstroke during performance) become untenable? #ClimateDiary

@MurmeltHier thank you for this link. According to my weather app (which may be wrong, of course) it’s going to be 40°C around 4pm local time in Houston today. If still 80% humidity that is #Wetbulb - and even more worrying if in fact 32°C already potentially v serious. @JustCelia are there warnings and support? (Apologies, it’s unhelpful to spread panic from so far away, but really am concerned.)

Die Strecke von #Minden nach #BadOeynhausen ist echt schön, vor allem wenn man näher an Bad Oeynhausen kommt, wirkt der Radweg dann doch besser ausgebaut, es gibt sogar Schilder, mit dem Lastenrad stellenweise etwas eng, dafür später ein breiter Weg durch kühlen Wald 😅
