It is impossible to use Tor in #Australia to access #socialSecurity and #mediCare. If you try to visit humanservices.gov.au via #TorBrowser you will see how bad the situation is.

People are going without basic social benefits.

This is only a most superficial look at ABC's website. A more comprehensive audit is likely to reveal much more. For example, we remember seeing Amazon tracking in one area of the site, possibly to do with #ABCRadio.

ABC is not the only public-service offender in #Australia doing awful things. Look through our past day of posts for a list.

The amount of data we are feeding the plutocrats is scandalous and extortionate. It needs to be exposed and stopped.

Australia's #govtServices now all go through #Akamai. That #USCorporation that rose alongside its partnership with #Microsoft.

Not only that, its locking select individuals out from accessing said govt services. Like the #TaxOffice and #SocialServices.

It is really awful to know that people who think they are doing the right thing by reporting everything accurately and completely are being systematically shut out from basic support, based on whimsical determinations of #ServicesAustralia (previously #DHS Dept. Of #HumanServices) that Section 595 of the #SocialSecuritiesAct does not relate to #SelfEmployment.

This is exposing #hobbyists to price shocks and all manner of difficulties.
