Former Spurn Lightship, now a floating museum in Hull.
She was positioned at one time to mark the hazards at the entrance to the Humber Estuary on England's east coast.

Saw this lovely boat the Amy Howson moored at the Brigg marina today.
Was on the wrong side of the hedge for the photo, so you'll have to squint a bit to see it properly!
It is a "Sheffield size" Humber keel which used to ferry cargoes such as grain & coal on the Ancholme, Humber & up to Sheffield.
A long time ago, Brigg used to have a daily service to Hull

Been planning a walk from the Humber Bridge to the Severn Bridge next summer. 250 miles. Along #River #Embankments on the #Humber #RiverTrent #RiverWitham #RiverAvon and #RiverSevern. And through the #LincolnshireWolds #LeicestershireWolds and #Cotswolds. #Midland counties are the most varied and most beautiful in #England. All part of a new #Research project.

As a #brass player I spend quite a lot of my time doing actual tooting (of the parpy raucous type requiring ear defenders) but as a comms pro I’ve only got round to this second toot because I’m about to launch a citizens’ engagement platform on #ClimateAction for #yorkshire and #Humber in #UK and its keeping me v busy juggling multiple social media channels (6 on bird site, lost count on Meta, ditto Instagram & now ramping up #linkedin too).
