Let me see...

This was in the summer of 2018.
My mother visited me and one of the items on her bucket list was going to a hunebed at night and taking photos of it against the backdrop of a starry sky.

So we went.

We stayed until 2:30am, mostly lying in the grass. She took pictures, I used my phone to light the scene.

This is one of the photos before it got truly dark, but I like its simplicity.

Van korrel tot borrel. Mooie reportage op RTV Drenthe over de Cromlech whisky van de Drumlin distillery uit Havelte, met initiatiefnemer Erik Poutsma.
Cromlech is de naam van de nieuwe Drentse whisky. "Dat is Keltisch voor hunebed", legt de Havelter stoker uit.
Wij hebben daar ook een fles liggen van de first batch 😀.

It's also #StandingStoneSunday and while we don't really have standing stones here, we have #dolmen, or #hunebedden, prehistoric burial chambers -however we met some people here who were convinced these structures to be birthing chambers built by cosmic giants (hence the name 'hunebed'). This is #hunebed D16, just outside the village of #Balloo, #Drenthe.

Even op de fiets de stad in en dan langs dit mooie #hunebed komen. Stil en mooi, eeuw na eeuw. #Drenthe doet wat met je.
