One utterly cynical thing SF could do in the short term is to offer cash incentives to corporations to mandate their workers back into an office commute, congestion be damned. But even that is temporary: the economy will turn in the worker’s favor soon, and those who have had a taste of #RemoteWork will be lured away by the prospect of not having to endure a shitty commute every day.
In any case, I hope SF residents learn a lesson from this and make better decisions about housing and public transit when good times roll again.
It’s not a great hope, but it is a hope.

Soft skills like communication skills have always been very important for executives.
In this new era of video conferencing and hybrid work, leaders and managers need to sharpen presentation skills. It's not the typical presenting in front of a crowd, or delivering a TED-talk-like presentation.
