My big question is whether you already have existing #eurorack system or not. If you don't have anything set up yet, either try something like #VCVRack first, or wait. Otherwise it can be a cash sink with a lot of pitfalls along the way.

Given what you have, you're right on for wanting something with pads. If you have 300-400 to spend I'd suggest an #Arturia #Microfreak, if you have 600-700 I'd recommend an #ASM #Hydrasynth Explorer.
