Looking for info about #Apple's #Hypervisor framework. In some hypervisors [2], the CPSR register is set to 0x3c4 to switch the CPU to EL1 using hv_vcpu_set_reg(vcpu, HV_REG_CPSR, 0x3c4). However, Arm states [1] "In AArch64 state, there is no Current Program Status Register (CPSR). You can access the different components of the traditional CPSR independently as Process State fields."
So – which register is actually written here?

Here's an odd one for #linux #hypervisor folks. I am curious if anyone has created and run a #windows (with GUI) VM on Linux that I can RDP into, but the Linux host is cli only (no GUI, ssh only)? Pipe dream? Everything points to Virtual Box but that requires a Linux GUI to pull off.
@B_Whitewind @Rasp actually it wasn't #BluRay, but #Sony's unwillingness to fix the #Hypervisor and instead prusue #geohot in a desperate "shooting the messenger" move...
Sadly that didn't backfire too hard except everyone was ckacking the #PS3 once #Sony pissed off everyone...

Hey #Linux #SelfHosted bubble.
I'm considering building a linux-based (possibly proxmox) #hypervisor which will also double as a #NAS.
Does anybody know of a nice small chassis that can fit over 4 3.5inch drives, preferably hotswappable.
Pre-made machines with this capability are also welcome, as long as they can accommodate a decent CPU and 32GiB or more of RAM.
Note that as this is for home, and I am not planning to put a rack in my home, I'm not looking for a rack mountable chassis.

Well ... Progress [even slow] is the opposite of Congress, so I'm happy.
[I use XEN almost exclusively and I'd like to play with some RISC chips again.]

An OS like #Windows has a hard time doing it without #virtualization based security, provided by a #hypervisor like the one found in the #NitroSystem.

Do any of my followers or other people use virtualization on a desktop home computer with an actual hypervisor and run their day to day Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 desktop within it.
