Ok. I have #NixOs :nixos: installed and running, I have #Hyprland running and launching #foot just fine, and I have gotten #Waybar up and running, though without the fonts I need, so the symbols don’t work. I really appreciate apps that will load a default or example config file in the right directory and I really don’t appreciate programs that stick it somewhere on GitHub. Last night was a struggle.

I have attempted using #Hyprland to see what it's all about for an hour or more, I ended up removing it before punching my monitor, when I say WMs are not for me I mean it lol. I have tried at least xD #FOSS #Linux

Now that I’ve fully switched to #Linux on my main PC, I have secondary laptop that was lying around for a while, I’ve tried Linux on in the past but I planned this laptop to just be used for whenever #windows is needed, but that only lasted a month, I just sometimes get the itch to try something random on it, now it still has windows but I’ve also just put #OpenSUSE on it to try #Hyprland I can’t resist, windows it too boring, and there are so many exiting things to try on Linux

Have people here made good experiences with #wayland based #compositors in conjunction with #gaming, BESIDES gnome/plasma wayland sessions? Looking at #labwc #hyprland #sway #riverwm am not sure how well a #tiling wm will work with gaming. But as long as you can create rules to exclude gaming windows from tiling, it should be fine?

Ok, I'm trying out hyperland, and as the random text in the background says, "Woo, animations!"

It is AMAZING so far! but I have 3 problems rn.

1: i haven't got my 2nd monitor to work yet
2: gnome apps take a long time to launch for some reason. i think its because the xdg-portal thing but i need to have gnome installed for now.
3: i do not have a status bar and a app launcher yet.

Edit: even firefox takes a looong time to open!

@XeroLinux #Hyprland looks good and does everything I wanted to do with xorg WMs (but couldn't) fantastically. That's why I use Wayland.

- split appName string by " ", use the 1st part while searching the icon name;
- do not force use of the overlay layer when `-d` (autohide) argument used.

Changes to nwg-dock-hyprland have been back-ported to nwg-dock.

Updated my configs.

At first look there's not much difference... but there is.

Last thing for today is to write guide style and fix my website prototype. At this moment i know how buttons will look like (active, hover etc.), tables... Just to write this right now and follow.
