I don't want to link to the 🐦 Site, but it seems the #IAU @iau_org has added an absurd amendmend to its Code of Conduct, forbidding members to discriminate harassers for being harrassers, forbidding any pushback against their participation in IAU activities beyond what the IAU leadership itself has deemed reasonable.

In essence, if a known bully and sexual harasser is invited as the keynote speaker to an IAU event, I would be in breach for pushing back against it. #Astrodon #Astronomy

Das #ORP (Opticon-Radionet-Pilot, https://www.orp-h2020.eu/) ist ein EU gefördertes Projekt. Da sind eigentlich alle europäischen Observatorien dabei. Die Themen sind breit gefächert, aber es gibt zwei Joint Actions zum Thema Lichtverschmutzung und Störungen der Radioastronomie.

Das #CPS (https://cps.iau.org/) ist das neue #IAU Center, welches sich mit Auswirkungen von grossen Satellitenkonstellationen auf die Astronomie beschäftigt.
