First time at #IETF, our NTP lead developer David worked on Miroslav Lichvar's NTP v5 draft with the time protocol group.
David presented the hackathon results: two interoperable (experimental) NTP v5 implementations. Not bad for two days of work!

At #ietf115 I measured all the rooms I was in and places I visited with a CO2 sensor. High CO2 levels are believed to be a proxy for airborne virus risk exposure. Here's my full write up with many graphs: https://www.isi.edu/~hardaker/news/20221106-ietf-c02-analysis/

Another little research project we're still tinkering with after the #IETF115 Hackathon is Encrypted Client Hello (#ECH) for our connectbyname library. We'll be taking these experiences forward in our comprehensive #DNS tooling for #rustlang. https://github.com/NLnetLabs/connectbyname/commits/ietf115-ech
@z428 Can't argue with anything you're saying!
I had a similar reaction to my #IETF115 talk on web centralization, where the point was made that tech surely isn't the reason we have centralization.
My response then could be re-used here: it's like the whole nature vs. nurture debate. Neither accounts for the result alone, but if the (tech) preconditions are such that they can be exploited, they will be. You can't blame the tech, but you also can't say "tech is neutral" and move on.

This #IETF115 in London, I stayed in a hotel whose foundations are on the London tube. I couldn't get the next scene from the Blues Brothers out of my head.
As a tradition, the #OpenSource #DNS developers had a dinner at the #IETF115. In addition to writing interoperable code, the developers of @nlnetlabs and @iscdotorg also have an interoperable taste for food.
