Taking a slight detour in my play through old #interactiveFiction games. Still have #KnightOrc lined up to play properly soon. But tonight it's time to go back to the 2001 #IFComp winning game All Roads. Set in magical #Venice, which I have to admit is a draw for me. Quick bit of #InteractiveFiction game coding before bed (finally awake enough #neuro for a brief burst!), including adding some more ASK X ABOUT Y responses in my Inform code. I have a list of things to finish off in a game that would be nice to enter in #IFComp next year. If I can just get it all finished. Health permitting. #IFComp 2022 winners: https://ifcomp.org/comp/2022 (IF for interactive fiction) I've so far played and enjoyed the winner, "The Grown-Up Detective Agency", a cute story with lesbians and time travel that, it turns out, is one of multiple games with the same main character. Must check the rest out but I can confirm it's lovable without further context.

Here are the final results from the 2022 #IFComp for #InteractiveFiction games. This is a fantastic annual competition, that has been going since 1995. I remember its start! This year there was a wonderfully creative mix of traditional parser #TextAdventures and newer choice based games. I managed to play 20/70 games during the competition, and playtested 2 others. Stressy shopping in town, but I got some Olio goodies, and essential groceries (COFFEE. I'm not having tea at breakfast again, it's not normal), and a few things from long-term list.

Now getting my breath back ready to #IFComp with my besties ❤️. They are currently sending me cat pics to de-stress me because they are lovely.
