Heute erstes Mal im #IMAX Leonberg gewesen.

Das Bild, den richtigen Sitzplatz vorausgesetzt, ist ziemlich beeindruckend. Auch die Sitze mit den Fußauflagen sind top.

Den Ton fand ich zu brutal. Während der Filmtrailer wird man permanent angebrüllt "Hört mal wie LAUT WIR SCHREIEN KÖNNEN!!!"

Ich mag lauten Ton, aber das war selbst mir zuviel.

Actually, #Nolan's #Oppenheimer was scheduled for today on the supposedly largest #Imax screen in the world, a test for #Dune2. Unfortunately the #cinema is virtually full - lucky for the operating company, bad luck for us.
Not too bad though, I'm not a big fan of the director, his films are more often a miss than a hit. #Tenet, for example, I already stopped three times - annoyed and bored.
Maybe we'll get fine tickets next time.

James Cameron will go down in history as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time (and rightfully so), however, I wish his stories had as much depth to them as his CGI does. Another repost from earlier this year, this is another video I'm quite proud of, this was a mini-doc looking at the former Bristol #IMAX and the Forbidden Worlds #Film Festival, which has since had two very successful runs there.

I watched the #LordOfTheRings: the #ReturnOfTheKing in #IMAX last night at the movie theater, after seeing the first two episodes within the last two months, in IMAX as well.
I can’t believe the trilogy is already 20 years old, it’s holding up so well!
I’ve seen it so many times and it still gave me goosebumps… Really enjoyed.

for #London #film folks, a couple big-deal #cinema things happening this week with #WakandaForever's release:

- BFI #IMAX reopening after a much-overdue refurb: new seats, screen, sound, laser projection (alas, not the full-screen capable kind, they'd have to get rid of the 15/70mm projector to fit)

- the Science Museum doing regular commercial film screenings again (should hopefully be *the* place to see likes of DUNE PART TWO in its full IMAX 1.43 glory next year)
