For security/avoiding scams, the verification function is already in place to validate they own their official sites, for example.

Not doing this would benefit #decentralisation. That's the key benefit of the #fediverse, to break this very model being proposed.

It is good that she's out to fix unsourced claims and move niche details into sub-articles (she wasn't, as it seems, though, but tried to delete 'em all) but it's (probably) bad idea to start to go out and trying to delete stuff which does exists. Wikipedia is not a book, it does not have size limits, so there is no reason why "The Minor Order Of Lenin Of The Upper Siberian Region Heroes" shouldn't be there, if it existed. #IMHO
