So the whole reason I even like football is because of #IanWright. He spoke to me on a level that transcended existence and to this day, I feel he's the best footballer to ever kick a ball. My support of #Arsenal is hereditary, but my love of Arsenal stems from my love of #UncleIan.

Isn't it ironic that it takes a footballer to speak up in support of those without a voice rather than those elected to custodianship of the freedoms, values and traditions once championed by the United Kingdom?
The #BBC is in an invidious position, chaired by a man who smoothed a path to a loan for #BorisJohnson and with it's funding and existence under repeated threat.

Just catching up on the whole situation with the BBC suspending #GaryLineker for criticizing the UK government on their, probably illegal, immigration policy. Good on him! His suspension shows how the BBC has basically become a Tory mouthpiece. Nice to see that #IanWright and #AlanShearer have come out in support of him too. I completely agree with Lineker's take on this.

#GaryLineker and #IanWright know this. So do all the thousands of people who stand with them.
