We sorted through the stack of leftover pieces for #IKEA hacks and ripped down the best choice. Now my mission today is to paint the raw edges and tomorrow we will finish the revision of the entertainment center due to the new larger TV.

Half done and what a struggle #IKEA. Now getting small corner braces for under each shelf for more stability. (Was not in plans). Eventually after tightening up and level checks, more primer and then 2 white topcoats paint. I see my deep blue-purple glass already in place with sunlight to make them glow.

What are my chances to get just 3 vertical posts for my IKEA racks I’m building to display my cobalt glass collection. First Henje rack is primed so far, fine. The second couldn’t be built due to 3/4 boards being warped. Just delivered replacements now. I see IKEA sent me 6. 1st photo shows the proof of warps. Next is my replacement. #IKEA

It begins. My IKEA shelving racks- first step primer. Figured primer would be good for bare wood. Now to decide on 2 coats primer then 1 coat oil-enhanced semigloss or 1 primer and 2 of the ultra white semigloss. Hmmm. Surely plain wood racks from IKEA will go together easily and I won’t have a traumatic experience. 2 are going in my kitchen after I prime and paint white. For my larger pieces of cobalt glass. Lots of windows here for sunlight to shine thru the blue-purple glass, ahhhhhhhh! #IKEA
