Why do I do it to myself!

I put the washing on the line to dry as the sun is shining and there's a lovely breeze.
By evening it is still a little damp. I decide to leave it out overnight thinking that by mid-morning it will be dry.

Then it rains.
...and again the next day.
... and again the day after.

This goes on for a week until I finally give in and dry it on the radiators.

Why don't I just put it on the radiators in the first place?
