My great-grandfather stole money to get on a ship and come here. Then, as today, if you had enough in your pocket, you entered, no questions asked. He changed his name on the ship, cutting ties with the old country. All that matters is making a success in this country. That’s what I grew up with.
Love matters.
Compassion matters.
Family matters.
Kindness matters.

Our friend & Wright College professor Sydney Hart was on ABC7 Chicago news advocating for 400+ asylum seekers being housed at her college over the Summer.

"We have space. And we are a community college. We always talk about putting the community in community college," said Sydney Hart, Wilbur Wright College professor.
