Presented my scientific artwork on network lasers at Imperial Lates: Tiny Science. Our research on network lasers combines #Nanophotonics, #GraphTheory and #MachineLearning to create tiny lasers whose colour of emission can be finely controlled.

Hey! Im a researcher of host-microbe interactions with a focus on bees! My research group is based at the Silwood Park campus of Imperial College London. We're particularly interested in exploring how microbes transmit & what their impact is on pollinator systems. Where possible we try to employ new techniques or combine multiple cutting-edge processes at once.

Traditional lasers amplify light by repeatedly passing it through a lasing medium between two mirrors. Instead, by structuring the lasing medium in the form of a network, we can choose which regions of the network to amplify. We can then use this freedom to select the colour emitted by the laser.

I am a Senior Lecturer in #SilwoodPark at #ImperialCollegeLondon. I am interested how social behaviours (#MateChoice, SexualSelection, #sociality) and #LifeHistory traits (#ageing, reproductive traits) evolve in birds. I've also published on #WomenInScience. I use #quantitativegenetics to better understand how #phenotypes are governed by #genetic architecture.

I have too many #pets, I like #hiking, #birding, #moths, and #fungi.
