These are from last #Caturday, but while the house leopard stayed at home enjoying the new sofa, I visited Aardvark books in Brampton Bryan. There are four cows who always come over to see me, but this cow is inevitably first on the scene. With her excellent fringe and insistence on nuzzles, seeing her always brightens my day. A trip to Cornell’s Books in Tewksbury today. There’s very little recent information online before you go to the extent that you might fear it’s closed, but it’s open until 5pm on Saturdays. Large applied arts section.

My dad made the wooden pattern for the door knob on the Abbey down the road back in the 60s(?) too.

From today’s trip to Scrivener’s Books in Buxton, a first edition of Alasdair Gray’s second novel 1982, Janine, published by Jonathan Cape in 1984. By almost all accounts controversial and dark, but Gray apparently considered it to be his best work.
