Wow. I've wanted hashtags in #BookWyrm for a while, but now that hashtag support is built-in I see they're even more meaningful than I realized.

They make BookWyrm posts WAY more visible, a real clear example of the importance of hashtags on fedi.

My ~daily poetry posts used to get 5 boosts if I got lucky.

The speed with which new features and bug fixes are being shipped in fedi software is a joy to experience. All the more so since these folks actually publish release notes and change logs.

OK. Time to attempt my first ever personal newsletter email.

I did up a draft at the end of January, but it was just a curated roll up of social posts. And I _do_ want to do that, but ... it was uninspiring. I can do something more interesting, like including some vignettes.

Goal #1 is to create something that can replace Facebook/Insta for family and friends who aren't ready for fedi. Goal #2 is to have something of a public diary.

If Nextcloud Contacts was like 20% better I think I could completely avoid needing to set up a personal CRM (or PRM as I'm told they're called).

Anyone have experience with this or other open source tools for this purpose? Ideally I can double down on NC because it's something I already use and maintain.
