First 2 big upgrades for the house are in! My parents house offering was a new oven range, as the one the house came with was half broken. The other is a shipping container for storage and longterm conversion, thanks to the Okla Hina Ikhish Holo Indigenous Gulf gardener's network <3

Halfway moved into the new house!! We did the first truckload yesterday, took the day to slowly pack it up, then drove there for sunset as it finally cooled off and took 2 hours to dump it all inside.

The heat index here has been feeling like 105-115deg, so we're moving slooooow and steady. Soooo many thanks to a couple friends who are here to help us TT_TT

Hey friends!! Yakuke tcetu again for helping us with the deposit and costs to help us secure housing that is OURS!!! It is so, so exciting, and with that the usual house woes and expenses: the previous tenants absolutely destroyed this place. We have been fighting the worst flea infestation I have ever dealt with both on the land and in the house. Now that we are moving in this month, we have switched over all the utilities but they will require large deposits. We also need a repair on the septic system we have at the house.

Ok I'm announcing fundraising for my family to get some help gathering a down payment for a house!

We're way closer than we were last time, last year. I'm starting now so it's not quite so last minute as last time.

Goal idk it would be absolutely fantastic to somehow get $10k together. Doubtful, but I'm gonna dare to dream.

Hey also my bday is this week! Consider it a bday gift to an aging (turning 35!) trans, queer, Indijewnous deep South activist! Any and every housing I've ever had I've helped and housed other queer/marginalized folks, and a stable place means even more resources I can offer. The current housing I'm in is still very damaged from 2021 #HurricaneIda and no timeline in sight for repair.
