Here are just some of the toad friends that live in my indoor farm area. They eat the bugs and I love them. My largest toad, Hamburger, is hiding somewhere so I’ll post him when he reveals himself.

Of all the art I made this past winter, this poetry comic is one of the things I am most proud of - a haiku using only drawings, no words. And for all you folks dreaming and plotting out this summer's gardens, I would also like to take a moment to brag: I've been eating fresh tomatoes grown in my livingroom all winter long!
Anyway, have a peek & lemme know what you think. Happy Spring!

[IMAGE DESCRIPTION: An image of a wordless comic created by imagining how the form of haiku poetry might be expressed in purely visual form. Across the top, a single line of text reads: "A Visual Haiku of Homegrown Tomatoes:" The comic is formed of three long panels arranged one above the other. The top panel depicts 3 small piles of soil. The piles on either end each have a sprout growing out of them, the one on the left with 2 leaves and the one on the right with 4. The middle panel is bigger in both length and height than the first. This panel shows three rambunctiously leafy tomato plants, growing so vigorously they have grown right out of the panel depicting them, branches extending past the panel borders at the top and sides. The bottom panel is smaller like the first line, and shows 5 bright red tomatoes - a large spectacular tomato in the center, and two smaller tomatoes on either side. Triangular wedges and arrow-shaped chevrons surround the tomatoes, exploding out of the panel and pointing emphatically at the tomatoes within. Below, in the bottom right corner, the comic is signed "Akire Bubar 12.18.2020" by the artist.]
