You are being lied to by the media (in general) - here is how to fix it!

More specifically - the media lies to the majority of people about environmental subjects such as change.

We have all met liars & have lied. However, some lies are far worse than others. Obviously, the lie, the form of indoctrination - that father is flying around on a magical sleigh - is not intended to harm children. Though the lie does shape children's way of thinking about the world (e.g., their perception is based on fantasy). Even well-intended lies can have unintended long-term consequences

Dark lies can be very harmful - and often include a web of lies (deception)

Lying is . Whilst is incorrect information - the difference is that liars are of course intentionally trying to deceive people in ways that benefit them - but hurt the deceived.

Who *owns* and *controls* the media (information) that people read, watch & listen to - affects how that media is presented.

(1) In an ("dictatorship") the government owns the media and controls what the people read, watch & listen to. In doing so - they essentially form the people's perceptions about what's "real" about their government, world news, etc.

(2) In a (ruled by the rich) the industries own the media and control what the people read, watch & listen to. In doing so - they essentially form the people's perceptions about what's "real" about the , government, world , etc.

(3) In a (ruled by the ) the people own the media and decide what forms of media they want to read, watch & listen to.

Countries are generally on a spectrum of (1), (2) & (3).

About the media reform coalition " The media is broken......We work with partner groups and supporting individuals to produce research and to organise campaigning activities aimed at creating a media system that operates in the public interest." mediareform.org.uk/

"This new report, published in March 2021, shows that just three companies (News UK, Daily Mail Group and Reach) dominate 90% of the national newspaper market (up from 71% in 2015). When online readers are included, these three companies (News UK, Daily Mail Group, Reach) dominate 80% of the market. In the area of local news, just six companies (Gannett, JPI Media, Reach, Tindle, Archant and Iliffe) account for nearly 84% of all titles. Two companies, Bauer and Global, now control nearly 70% of all local commercial analogue radio stations and 60% of national commercial digital stations" mediareform.org.uk/resources/r

So, where is the UK, Europe, USA, etc, on that spectrum? (dictatorship <<>> plutocracy, <<>>democracy)

The only genuine democracy is an informed . Informed consent to form a certain type of government.

What if some industries and their political allies lie to the public because they're corrupt business people? (E.g., "sales spin", "greenwash")

However, some news sources are not controlled by the government or industry and it shows. Because they support the people! (Not the industries)

So, if you don't want to be lied to - you have to know how to find accurate news sources.

For example, the and news are funded by their readers! (not owned and funded by the corporations)

Who *owns* the media that people read, watch & listen to - affects how that media is presented.

(1) In an autocracy ("dictatorship") the government owns the media and controls what the people read, watch & listen to. In doing so - they essentially form the people's perceptions about whats "real" about their goverment, world news, etc.

(2) In a plutocracy (ruled by the rich) the industries owns the media and controls what the people read, watch & listen to. In doing so - they essentially form the people's perceptions about whats "real" about the industries and goverment, world news, etc.

(3) In a democracy (ruled by the citizens) the people owns the media and decide what forms of media they want to read, watch & listen to.

Countries are generally on a spectrum of (1), (2) & (3).

The only genuine democracy is an informed electorate. Informed consent to form a certain type of government.

What if some politicians lie to the public because they're also corrupt business people? (E.g., "sales spin", "greenwash")
