This beige block of building hunkers
down on its own corner lot. Pride
exudes from its years of polished
wear, where kids have rubbed against
the storied corners on their way
wherever it it children go. Hallowed
oaks know the pillowing of heads
buried deep in books, or stuck against
another. Immodest grass; worn, shorn
yellow and brittle, envy the lush, lined
field just out of reach. The field where
adolescents hone themselves against
each other. This place is an #institution
