Seems that the first two #RussianInvasion of #Ukraine #WarCrimes trials failed to show that war crimes occurred. A civilian was killed [1] and an educational facility was destroyed [2], but without establishing the accused's intent + awareness of illegality under #InternationalHumanitarianLaw, these actions by low-rank soldiers were not war crimes [3][4].

Scapegoating != justice.
