Recently I did a lot of research on the topic of personal cloud storage. My use case is that we combine our efforts with my partner: upload photos and videos automatically, share documents, store photocopies of documents including sensitive and PI.

I went through several articles and already tried a couple fo services.

#Internxt was my top choice, however when I tried it, I stopped using and removed it after 1 hour. It basically just uploads every image it finds. They offer affordable plans.

@Tutanota multiple choices would have been nice especially as we can’t change our initial response. I pay for all of them. Password management is the corner stone of security (I use #1Password and #Bitwarden online plus #KeepassXC). Then I pay for drive for backups (#Tresorit #pcloud and #internxt). I also pay for #Joplin Cloud as my note taking app, mainly to support the project. Finally I host my own servers (#Nextcloud and #Matrix for messaging).

@justincroser Cloud services are STRANGE. Slow and finniky. #OneDrive simply does not work because it randomly refuses to upload stuff. This seems also to affect #internxt. #googledrive is painfully slow but seems more reliable. I set the AppleMac to store all things locally - and not automatically to iDrive only if storage full. I use #timemachine with dual backup drives which back up alternately. Does anyone knows of a truly decent cloud storage: fast and not missing files?

Su #starsocial vengono venduti i pacchetti di 2 T per 1 , 3 ,5 anni a prezzi molto convenienti e si può rateizzare in 3 con Paypal. Grazie a #mastodon ho risolto un problema enorme !
