THERE'S A DISCONNECT BETWEEN TWO GOP POSITIONS ON GUNS:

1) Don't talk about sex and gender choices with children

2) School shootings are a mental health problem

Obviously, not being able to talk about their feelings about sex and gender choices are going to isolate kids, make them more vulnerable to bullying, & more likely to retaliate violently against a system that makes them invisible.

Book 23 out of my 25 book #Goodreads challenge for 2022 is The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells. I've read a number of the classics over the years, but had never made it to this one. It's a lot shorter than I'd realised, but all the better for it - the story is tight and compact as a result. Well worth a read!

Even with the woods closed to the public, people still walk up and down this road. I would say half of them don't speak to me. I can't get my head round it. There's literally nobody else around for miles. It's just good manners to at least nod, a quick "how are you" maybe. Even "what the f**k are you doing"? But to just walk by and not even look my way. Do I expect too much? #InvisibleMan
