Honestly, if you'd to run, leave everything, because someone blew up your house, or killed your parents or partner, all you had was the clothes on your back, do you want to be demonised, attacked, and left in the cold, or would you want someone to wrap their arms around you, sit you somewhere warm, feed you, tell you it's ok, they'll help you, that you'll figure it out together. What would an #IrishMammy do?

We buried Granny today, at long last. It's finally over. Nobody does a funeral quite like the #Irish.

As my aunt said, once you get to a certain age, #funerals replace #weddings and #christenings as the big social events where you meet everyone. I guess that's where that #IrishMammy #stereotype comes from.

Yesterday and today were very much a celebration of Granny's life rather than mourning her death, and for that I'm grateful.

@Nocta i think they do add a smell, but it's like, not so eggy and foul. Personally subtle isn't what i want in a gas leak smell, but that might be the anxious #irishmammy in me talking
