By JFK.men: Koop je een limited Kilchoman 639 dan krijg je er een Landrover Classic Defender Works V8 Islay Edition bij, samen € 260.000 voor de liefhebber. De Kilchoman Distillery heeft een directe relatie met Land Rover. Land Rover's Spencer Wilks is namelijk de grootvader van Kathy Wills, medeoprichter van Kilchoman. Het uitneembare bergvak in de middenconsole is gemaakt van de houten whiskyvaten van #Kilchoman.

2017, on Jura, Scotland (near Islay). We saw a lot of red deer, but this is my favorite pic I think.
Jura was stunning, been there two times. One single track road, one hotel, one whisky distillery, 300 residents and 6000 red deer (something like that, but a lot).

Nu bezig met onze nieuwe website. Laura Loos zet een goed technisch fundament neer voor de nieuwe website van mijn whiskyteacher @goossenwhisky www.goossenwhisky.com. Ik heb al zoveel mooie foto's gemaakt in #Schotland maar deze valt dan steeds mijn oog weer op. Dit zijn de machtige Paps of Jura, gemaakt vanaf de ferry naar #Islay. Als je naar #whisky-Islay gaat plak er dan ook een dag Jura achteraan. 300 inwoners, 6000 herten, één single track road, whiskydistillery en een hotel. Geweldig mooi!

One of my favorite distillery's, Kilchoman. We visited this farm distillery many years ago for the first time. And when visiting Kilchoman Distillery than pay a visit to Machir Bay as well. Looking out over the Atlantic Ocean from there, it's a fantastic place.

7 new whisky distilleries opening in Scotland this year - from #EdenMill to Benbecula, by The #Scotsman food and drink.
The historic #PortEllen distillery is set to open this year. The distillery’s buildings have gone through many changes since it first opened in 1824, with the distillery closing and largely being demolished in the 1930s, before being rebuilt in the 1960s. Following its most recent closure in 1983.

A distillery exclusive, Octomore 13.4 joins the super-heavily peated 13.1, 13.2 and 13.3 to complete the collection.
#Octomore 13.4 is distilled from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley and malted to a heavily peated 137.3 PPM.
Bottled at 61.6%, the spirit has matured in first fill bourbon casks, filled back in 2016, before being recasked into American Virgin oak casks.

En blijkbaar van meer liefhebbers want de whiskyzeilreizen van mei en juni zijn al volgeboekt. @UndisScot been there, seen it, the round church in Bowmore. Bowmore is a great place to stay on Islay. Especially the Harbour Inn, the serve very fine food.

@UndisScot been there, seen it, Jura is a very special island. We took a trip around the isle, saw a lot of red deer and other wildlife, stayed in the Jura Hotel which serves delicious food and of course visited the Jura Distillery.

Dat was gisteren een erg leuke middag bij Kennispark Ondernemers in het stadion van #FCTwente in #Enschede. De gasten proefden o.a.de #WhiskyWeekendTwente-botteling van vorig jaar, een #CaolIla 8y cask strength van #Islay.
