Earlier today I had to dig out one of the pages from my webcomic Avalon (1999-2006) to toot about an old handheld scanner. It was in a box (at the very bottom, *of course*) with other old drawings, most of which I've already scanned or photographed.

But I discovered these forgotten, *even older* drawings from when I was developing the comic. I originally wanted it to be full-page, instead of the strip format it ended up as. And I may have had ideas for a calendar?

On Tumblr there was a silly drawing of an unforgivable crime: being nude (or else *apologizing* for being nude?). @mrencyclopedia said we should draw our OCs committing such a crime, sooooo... I complied. He is an accessory to this.

A few days ago I had this weird realization about Ceilidh, my first #OC from back in the '90s: her hair is just entirely *wrong*. This just came to me out of the blue, almost like a panic attack. 😬

Of course it's meant to be cartoonishly exaggerated, but I based it on various elements without really understanding them. And now I know better how they *ought* to be, so I'm trying to reconcile that with how she's looked for decades. Some tests compared to older drawings:

Back in 1999, Ceilidh here was a main character of a daily webcomic set in high school. The comic started suffering many delays, and completely fizzled out by 2004. I joke that poor Ceilidh is cursed to forever be stuck in high school, regardless that she could now be in her 30s. 😬
