**jshelter**

JShelter0.14 is out now! You should see speed improvements from switching some shields to WebAssembly and we now have a Czech translation! When you are browsing you need extra protection. The #JShelter extension should be part of that protection. https://jshelter.org/versions/#0.14
It is really annoying that when you browse sites with #tor, those managed with #cloudflare pretty frequently demand you to enable JavaScript and disable #jshelter, and then require you to click an area similar to recaptcha for confirmation that you are human.
Site owners using Cloudflare, please allow TOR connections explicitly on the dashboard, unless your sites are under consistent DDOS attack!

Unfortunately that archive site is helping Goo train AI systems, so we cannot use that either.
Your valient efforts are duly noted.
Its cool, we always encourage #TorBrowser and other forks of Mozilla's. Never not #BraveBrowser. Resources like spyware.i2p show problems with Brave. Its unfortunate that #JShelter opt for Brave's anti-fingerprinting measures, which sound inconsistent.

We will need to take a squiz (look) when we can. Cheers!
BTW we are looking for a browser addon that imitates TorBrowser in terms of and Safer and Safest settings for javascript functions.
We looked into #jShelter during the week but they seem to be going for a technique of reducing fingerprinting called Farbling. It sounds inconsistent and so we don't like it as an option.
If something springs to mind, feel free to tell.
So #jShelter seems to break with #TorBrowser's way of removing potentially harmful #javascript, prefering what seems a more random and experimental method, #Farbling that says it produces inconsistent behaviours. Is that not worse than a broken page that Tor produces occasionally?
Is there an addon that seeks to imitate TorBrowser's method of providing a safer js?
It will likely be beneficial for those who don't use TorBrowser but still want safer javascript.

Hmm. Do I need #uBlock Origin, #PrivacyBadger, *and* #JShelter in #Firefox? I'm guessing I can probably dump Privacy Badger? EFF says it's still useful even with FF's tracking protection set to "strict", but what value is it actually adding?

#JShelter seems to break CloudFlare's "are you a human" check. I could either turn off JavaScript Shield or just not visit those sites. I think I'll just not visit those sites.
